This photographic series shows the two towns that I call home through street photography. One being the City Wooster and the other the Village of Creston. When making these photos I looked at the work of Cartier Bresson, Walker Adams, and Robert Frank along with others. I took photos of people and places that I believed represented each town. Each time I took photos I focused on a different method of photography. When first starting to take photos I drove around each town in a car trying to capture snapshots. I then tried to focus on the decisive moment by walking around downtown Wooster during trick or treat. Next I focused on landscape. Then I placed them in a box that my grandmother kept her old town photographs in. The subject matter is Wooster and Creston. Formal elements that take place in this series is tone, color, and form. Using these elements I made the photos as natural as possible, but also brought information out that needed to be there. 2019.
